Mark Essen is an artist who works from interventions, interpretations and analogies. These sometimes work simultaneously. Mark’s work takes on various forms from lens, written text, to sculpture and event.
Artist Mark Essen, will run a roaming record exchange shop run exclusively on the basis that he will only exchange record for record and reserve the right to deny exchange through a process of bartering.
The varied spaces will become a place for contemporary beatnik cohorts to spend time deciphering and attempting to define culture through informal discourse. Fragranced by contemporary journals, books, fanzines and ‘The Mark Essen Event Brew‘ (courtesy of The Anchor Inn) the project will feature ‘From All Artist editions’, and ‘you will know us by the trail of Morris men’ and 10 limited- artist edition t-shirts.
The Event ale will be on sale from Thursday at the Anchor Inn and be available throughout the duration of the festival.
The performance of “and you will know us by the trail of Morris men” will take place on Friday 6th November. Morris Men will escort the audience from each venue at the end of Friday’s official launch to Eastside Projects for the after event where they shall start the proceeding with a dance.
